Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team for evening shifts from 2 PM to 10 PM and PRN (as-needed) opportunities. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient and resident care in assisted living settings. Your expertise will ensure that individuals receive respectful, personalized support while maintaining their dignity and comfort. This position offers an energetic environment where your caregiving skills make a meaningful difference every day. Duties Assist residents and patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support in accordance with care plans. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; document findings accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) or EHR systems. Administer medications and treatments following physician orders while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols. Support specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, hospice, and behavioral health requirements. Maintain detailed medical records and documentation of patient care activities using systems like PointClickCare. Communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding patient status, changes in condition, or concerns related to physiology or anatomy knowledge. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated caregiving experience with individuals who have developmental disabilities or require specialized dementia or memory care. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic nursing procedures. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as PointClickCare for accurate documentation of patient information. Experience working within acute care settings or medical offices is a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering compassionate senior and community care. Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and medical records management to ensure confidentiality and security of patient data.
