The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure precise dimensional inspection of complex components. This role requires a strong understanding of quality control standards, blueprint reading, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). The CMM Programmer will play a vital role in maintaining high-quality standards in accordance with industry regulations such as
AS9100, ISO 13485, ISO
9001, and ASME codes & standards. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on manufacturing excellence and quality assurance. Duties Develop and execute CMM programs using PC-DMIS software to perform detailed dimensional inspections. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine inspection requirements. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators for manual measurements when necessary. Conduct quality inspections in compliance with AS9100, and other relevant standards to verify product conformance. Perform dimensional inspections using coordinate measuring machines (CMM), ensuring measurements meet specified tolerances. Analyze inspection data to identify trends or deviations and communicate findings to the manufacturing team for corrective actions. Maintain calibration records for all measurement tools and ensure CMM equipment is properly maintained and calibrated according to industry standards. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to review schematics and CAD models created in SolidWorks or similar software. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality control processes and tooling accuracy. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and uphold quality assurance procedures throughout all inspection activities. Experience Proven experience programming and operating CMM equipment using PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar software. Strong knowledge of GD&T principles, blueprint reading, and schematic interpretation. Familiarity with quality management systems such as
ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO
13485, and related industry standards. Experience performing dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and dial indicators. Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes such as machining, tooling setup, CNC operations, and general fabrication techniques. Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately while applying ASME codes & standards for quality assurance. Solid understanding of CAD software like SolidWorks for reviewing design specifications. Knowledge of manufacturing environments that involve machining operations and quality control procedures is highly desirable.
