37 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in assisting healthcare teams by delivering high-quality care, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining accurate medical documentation. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Support medical procedures by preparing patients and assisting healthcare professionals with tasks such as catheter care, phlebotomy, and medication administration. Maintain a safe and clean environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during patient interactions. Document patient care activities thoroughly within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner to ensure accurate medical records management. Provide compassionate memory care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia, utilizing specialized techniques for behavioral health support. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in various settings including ICU, emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and behavioral health units to deliver comprehensive patient service. Qualifications Valid CNA certification with current licensure in the applicable state or region. Prior experience working in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for medical documentation. Experience in diverse healthcare settings including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques essential for quality patient care. Ability to perform physical tasks involving lifting equipment like Hoyer lifts and supporting mobility needs of patients with disabilities or during post-acute care. Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to caregiving for patients of all ages—including pediatrics—and those with complex health conditions such as infectious diseases or behavioral health challenges.
