Job Description

Job Overview - $5000 Sign on Bonus (Full-Time) Evening Shift staff get an additional $1.00 per hour differential starting at 2:00 pm. Night Shift staff get an additional $1.50 per hour differential starting at 10:00pm. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, assist with daily activities, and administer medications in accordance with healthcare regulations and facility protocols. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure our residents and patients receive the highest quality of care in a supportive environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals across various care settings, including long-term care, assisted living, hospitals, and community health environments. Duties Deliver direct patient and resident care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Administer prescribed medications accurately following all safety protocols and document medication administration in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Monitor vital signs, observe changes in patient conditions, and report findings promptly to nursing staff or physicians. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to aseptic techniques, infection control procedures, and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Support specialized care needs including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, behavioral health management, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy (blood draws), and basic life support during emergencies. Document all patient interactions accurately within medical records while ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards. Utilize EMR/EHR systems like eClinicalWorks or Cerner for efficient documentation of patient service activities and medical records management. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams in various settings including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, home & community care environments, and post-acute or sub-acute care facilities. Demonstrate proficiency in handling complex cases involving ICU experience, trauma centers (Level I & II), urgent care scenarios, or hospital medicine environments. Experience Candidates should possess a valid CNA certification along with CMA certification where applicable. Prior experience in diverse healthcare settings is highly valued; this includes long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or assisted living communities, hospitals—particularly those specializing in critical care or emergency medicine—and outpatient clinics. Experience working with individuals with dementia or behavioral health needs is preferred. Familiarity with medical-surgical procedures, medication administration protocols, infection control practices—including aseptic techniques—and the use of EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner is essential. Candidates with background in geriatrics, pediatrics, hospice care, ICU environments, Level I & II trauma centers, or working within home & community-based services will find this role especially rewarding. Strong physiology knowledge, medical terminology comprehension, and the ability to work effectively within HIPAA guidelines are critical for success in this position.
