Nursing Assistant Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including home care, senior care facilities, and urgent care environments. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and the ability to assist patients with daily living activities while ensuring their comfort and safety. Duties Assist patients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing. Help with mobility and physical activities, including lifting and transferring patients as needed. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff. Provide support in acute care settings, ensuring patients receive timely assistance. Engage in dementia care, offering companionship and cognitive support to patients. Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to aseptic techniques. Document patient progress and communicate effectively with healthcare team members. Support pediatric patients by providing age-appropriate care and attention. Requirements Knowledge of anatomy and basic medical terminology. Experience in home care or senior care settings is preferred. Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Understanding of urgent care protocols and procedures. Experience or training in dementia care is highly desirable. Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility challenges. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of relevant training programs.
