CNC and Machine Tool Reliability Technician Location:
Wyoming, IL What your day looks like You arrive on the floor with a plan: keep every lathe, mill, and CNC system performing at its best. You start with a walk‑through, listening for unusual sounds, checking lubrication points, and verifying that preventive maintenance tasks are on schedule. When an issue pops up, you diagnose it quickly, choose the most effective fix, and get production back on track with minimal downtime. Throughout the day, you coordinate with operators to time service windows, document your work thoroughly, and keep the area spotless and safe. When a new piece of equipment lands, you roll up your sleeves to help install and commission it. Impact you will make Execute routine maintenance and repairs on machine shop equipment—lathes, mills, and CNC machines included. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems to reduce unplanned stoppages. Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to keep equipment operating at peak efficiency. Record maintenance actions and repair details with accuracy and completeness. Partner with production teams to schedule service with minimal disruption. Assist in installing and setting up new machinery and related equipment. Champion shop safety and housekeeping standards to maintain a clean, compliant environment. What you bring High school diploma or equivalent; technical schooling or certifications are a plus. Hands-on experience maintaining equipment in a manufacturing or machine shop setting. Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting ability. Comfort working with CNC machinery and other advanced manufacturing tools. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, prints, and schematics. Clear communicator with a collaborative, team-first approach. Flexibility to adjust hours and respond to urgent maintenance needs.
