$40-$50 per hour (commensurate with experience and technical skill level) Position Summary Exact Machine Service is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our Service team. Reporting to the Service & Installation Manager, this role is responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting high‑precision grinding equipment at customer sites. This position requires frequent travel and hands‑on customer interaction. Key Responsibilities Install, integrate, and commission equipment and systems at customer locations. Perform comprehensive testing to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Demonstrate equipment operation and performance to customers. Respond quickly to critical equipment failures to minimize downtime. Diagnose technical issues and complete emergency repairs as needed. Train customers on proper equipment operation and maintenance. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for assigned customers. Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams regarding service activity. Complete accurate service reports, including labor, parts used, and corrective actions. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 2 years of field service experience . Experience with precision cylindrical grinding equipment. Centerless and double‑disc grinding experience is a plus.

Working knowledge of:

CNC machines Servo drives and motors PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Fanuc, Siemens, or similar) Self‑motivated, dependable, and customer‑focused. Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% .
