Responsibilities:

Setup & Operation:

Configure and operate CNC flat laser cutting machines (e.g., fiber or CO₂ lasers) for cutting sheet metal and other materials Assure that 1st off/1st Part is inspected and meets Quality Assurance requirements Completion of data entry and/or paperwork as required Program, set up Machines to meet customer requirements in output and quality Interface with Quality and Engineering Maintain proper housekeeping standards Must notify lead hand and/or supervisors of all dysfunctional and/or unsafe equipment or work practices All other duties as assigned by Supervisors and Managers Be able to work with minimal supervision Ensure that all duties and tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner Have great communication skills

Requirements:

Perform first‑piece and in‑process inspections using calipers, micrometers, or other measuring tools to verify accuracy Ability to read drawings, blueprints and specifications Ability to use Tape Measure, Vernier and other measuring tools Load and unload raw materials (sheet metal) and finished parts; may use forklifts or overhead cranes Meet production schedules, assist with other CNC operator duties, and perform minor maintenance or alignment tasks Capable to lift up to 50lbs from ground to table level Mathematical aptitude Must be able to work full time and some OT as needed Interested in this position?
