CNC Lathe Machinist

A precision machining company is seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist in Castle Hayne, NC to join a growing, long-established team known for craftsmanship, reliability, and quality. This is an exciting opportunity to work with brand-new, state-of-the-art CNC equipment in a supportive job-shop environment that values skilled machinists, offers cross-training, and provides long-term growth opportunities. Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Lathe Machinist position include: 3-5 years of CNC lathe machining experience preferred, with candidates who have 2+ years of strong machining experience also considered. Program, set up, and operate CNC lathe machines while producing precision components to exact specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, job tickets, production drawings, G-code, and general machining instructions. Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments and maintain high quality standards. Load and accurately indicate parts to fixtures, monitor tool wear, load tools, and replace inserts as needed. Perform regular machine maintenance, tool adjustments, and troubleshooting to support production goals. Work with CNC equipment including Haas, Doosan, Mori-Seiki, Tsugami, and other advanced machining systems. Maintain reliability, attention to detail, teamwork, and willingness to work overtime or occasional Saturdays as needed.

Salary :

$26 - $40 per hour, commensurate with experience.
