Job Summary:

We are hiring a CNC Lead Machinist to support precision aerospace manufacturing operations in Bay Shore, NY. This role is for an experienced CNC machinist who can lead daily production, set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, troubleshoot issues, support quality checks, and help keep production moving safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Lead CNC machinists and operators during daily production Set up and operate CNC mills and CNC lathes Run 3-axis, 4-axis, and/or 5-axis CNC machines Work with Fanuc, Mazak, or similar CNC controls Read blueprints, drawings, work orders, and specifications Perform tool changes, replace inserts, adjust offsets, and make corrections Troubleshoot setup, tooling, program, machine, or quality issues Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and height gauges Support first-piece inspections and in-process checks Verify parts meet dimensional accuracy, finish, and quality standards Train and support machinists on setups, operation, safety, and quality expectations Communicate production status, delays, and quality concerns to supervisorsSchedule /
