  • Full-time Overview We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled CNC Machine Field Service Technician to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines used in manufacturing environments. Your expertise will ensure optimal machine performance, minimize downtime, and enhance customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge manufacturing technology, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, vision inspection systems, and high-voltage electrical systems. Duties Install and commission CNC machinery at customer sites, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and accurately. Diagnose and repair complex issues related to hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical components, sensors, and mechanical parts using schematics, calibration tools, and precision measuring instruments. Perform preventive maintenance on CNC machines, including replacing fluids, inspecting electrical systems, and geometry. Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components to restore optimal machine function. Provide technical guidance to customers on the operation and maintenance of CNC equipment while delivering exceptional customer service. Read blueprints and schematics to recommend, identify, and install replacement parts. Document service activities thoroughly through detailed reports and logs to ensure clear communication with the support team. Qualifications Proven experience with industrial electrician work, hydraulics, mechanical systems, or industrial maintenance within manufacturing settings. Strong electrical experience including low voltage, high voltage wiring, sensors, calibration techniques, and troubleshooting of distributed control systems (DCS). Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and CNC Controls such as Fanuc, Mitsubishi, etc. Ability to read schematics accurately and use precision measuring instruments such as ohmmeters and calipers effectively. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to work independently in the field under minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex machinery issues. Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites across various regions for field service assignments. Some overnight travel required for extended jobs or when participating in remote training programs.
