CNC Machine Operator (2nd Shift), MFG, Kimball International - Danville, KY

Daily Tasks Include:

Operate computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts. Load and unload materials onto the machine Detect malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged cutting tools Load cut parts onto racks, skids, and/or shelves Communicate with co-workers regarding productions runs Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment Perform typical machine shop operations. Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to manager or CSF. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.

Requirements:

Perform the following CNC related duties: Power up and power down Lock out/tag out Calling up and entering CNC program Complete operator maintenance functions Run the machine Handle material Perform inspection of machined products (including documentation of results). Complete and maintain paperwork for parts Perform fabrication Lift up to 40 lbs. Ability to stand on concrete for 8-10 hours a day Able to work overtime as needed including weekends Must be able to read and interpret drawings Follow routers Use simple math to perform basic calculations Use basic hand held measuring tools.
