Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The CNC Setup Operator will be a key member of the Reina Imaging production team and the industry-leading x-ray accessories manufacturing business. Using CNC machine expertise and abilities rooted in solid mechanical principles, this machinist will be responsible for the production of new x-ray accessories and the support/improvement of existing products. He/she will have the ability and attention to detail to work with minimal supervision to operate the CNC machine while utilizing a variety of tools and processes to fabricate, modify, or repair parts with a focus on safety, reliability, accuracy, and efficiency. Apply knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, production schedules, and machining procedures. Operator will be required to use equipment including but not limited to Panel Saw, Forklift Operation, CNC Router, Manual Routers, Bridgeport. This position resides at our corporate headquarters in Crystal Lake, IL.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up, operate, and shut down the CNC machine
- Adhere to production schedules and report material shortages/assembly issues
- Carry out assignments in a safe and efficient manner and ensure work is performed in accordance with all established policies and procedures Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs), clean and maintain work area, properly turn off and lock out equipment when applicable
- Accurately document all required entries in assembly travelers and related job tracking tools
- Interact extensively with Engineering and QARA to maintain familiarity with manufacturing operations and quality requirements
- Work quickly, efficiently and effectively within a compressed manufacturing time schedule
- Setup, Operate, and Maintain multiple machines independently
- Responisble for cutting raw materials for scheduled jobs on large format panel saw.
- Communicate effectively with peers, managers and Engineering regarding the status of equipment, manufacturing processes and requests for support
- Perform basic inventory relief process to pick and pull parts required for daily assembly work
- Contribute to a work environment in which all team members are respected regardless of individual differences and are motivated to improve both individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results
- CNC 3 Axis- Vertical milling center experience (Required). Fanuc and or Haas experience (preferred)
- Proficient with measuring equipment (Caliper, Micrometers, Dial indicators)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints (GDT is a must!)
- Ability to setup tools, make tool offsets, complete tool changes independently
- Ability to read / write basic G-code, and make basic adjustments (Required)
- Full responsibility of CNC machine (Start up, shutdown, setup, cleaning , Daily PM logs )
- Completion of
ACCURATE
inspection reports for each production run- Job shop production environment (Could run 5pcs per job or 500pcs)

Forklift certified (Willing to train) Highly developed level of mechanical aptitude and expertise Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance Ability to stand for a full shift and lift more than 30lbs Familiarity with mechanical and electric/pneumatic power tools, torque wrenches and standard hand tools Must be able to pass E-Verify checkPay:
