Job Description

Job Description Responsible for producing precision parts and components using manual machine tools and CNC equipment. This role supports maintenance, repair, and fabrication operations by interpreting technical drawings, setting up machines, and machining parts to exact specifications while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. As the Manual/CNC Machinist, you will have an opportunity to: Set up and operate manual machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses Set up, program, and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM's) Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and materials for each job Select proper stock materials according to prints and drawings Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges) Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust machine settings as needed Maintain tight tolerances and ensure parts meet quality and dimensional requirements (GD&T) Perform routine machine maintenance/repairs and keep work areas clean and organized Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to meet deadlines and troubleshoot machine failures Always follow all safety policies and procedures Assist with repair, modification, or fabrication of equipment and parts as needed You have: High school diploma or GED required Technical Certificate or higher education in Machine Tool Technology from a certified institute or 4+ years of formal machinist training or apprenticeship 1+ years' experience as a manual machinist and/or CNC machinist Strong understanding of machining principles, materials, and tooling Ability to read and understand blueprints and GD&T Experience using precision measuring instruments Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, and geometry Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work in a team environment Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Basic knowledge in CAD/CAM software Basic computer skills Shift flexibility to work overtime when needed Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 10 lbs without assistance and up to 50 lbs with assistance devices Manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments Ability to work in an industrial environment (noise, heat, oil, metal shavings) You might have: (Provide a bullet point list of the qualifications that are nice to have but not necessary for someone to fill this position. Employee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives. Safety training is provided to all employees to ensure compliance with company and federal regulations.

Hourly Rate:
$30.21 - $40.45 The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
