CNC Machinist (Days)

The primary responsibility of a CNC Machinist is to support production operations by performing low to moderate machining operations, operating one or more types of machine tools such as mills, drill presses, lathes, etc. o Sets up basic tooling, write and execute basic programs. o Sets up, operates and programs a broad range of production work involving close tolerance and set ups that are exacting that are somewhat involved and have a low to moderate degree of difficulty. o Reads and interprets specific machining instructions from blueprints, part and machine drawings.

Key Job Duties:

o Performs other secondary operations such as stamping part numbers and deburring during machine cycle times. o Perform routine maintenance. o Assists in other areas and performs additional tasks as needed. Participates in and contributes to Massman's lean manufacturing journey. o Inspects machine parts to ensure they meet proper size, shape, or tolerance specs using micrometers and other measuring tools and devices.

Qualifications:

Education/Training :

High School Diploma or GED preferred Technical Degree in Machine Tool Technology or related field preferred

Knowledge/Skills:

Able to problem solve, have good mechanical aptitude, and able to learn and understand job methods and instructions in a timely manner Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes preferred Experience and/or

Other Requirements:

2-3 years of relevant machining experience can be substituted for
