Company Overview Prosper-Tech Machine & Tool is family owned and specializes in precision CNC machining for critical industries including medical, defense, aerospace, medical devices. We are looking to add to our operations team to keep up with strong customer demand in 2026. Responsibilities Operate CNC Mills / CNC Lathes and make tool offsets and tool changes. Follow work instructions and make improvements as necessary. Perform in-process QC inspection. Debur and clean parts as necessary. Work within
ISO9000 / AS9100
Quality Management System Autonomous and willing to flow to work as necessary. Willing to work for a family-owned company (~30 people) Able to problem solve and communicate professionally (verbal and written) Willing to be exposed to moderate levels of dust, dirt, oil, grease, fumes, odors, noise, and solvent. Operator Level 1: High school diploma or equivalent Strong work ethic and team player Machinist Level 0: All the above plus experience below At least 2 years' experience operating CNC mills and or CNC Lathes Machinist Level 1: All the above plus experience below At least 4 years' experience operating CNC mills and or CNC Lathes Machinist Level 2: All the above plus experience below At least 6 years' experience operating CNC mills and or CNC Lathes Machinist Level 3: All the above plus experience below Skill-based designation
Skills Required CNC Machine Operator:
Ability to communicate verbally and written and work well with others Ability to use a digital work system to track time and part counts. Willingness to learn Machinist Level 0: Machine operation - familiar with Brother and
HAAS CNC
mills and FANUC controlled Lathes a plus Blueprint reading for dimensions and tolerances. Use of hand measuring tools (micrometers, height gages, gages, etc.) Must be able to pick up work offsets and tool offsets. Must be able to build cutting tool assemblies off set-up sheets with assistance from set-up machinist. Must be able to set up repeat jobs with assistance from set-up machinist. Must be able to run jobs without heavy direct supervision Machinist Level 1: Must be able to build cutting tool assemblies off set-up sheets autonomously. Must be able to set up repeat jobs autonomously including first piece inspection without rejections from quality Machinist Level 2: Ability to program, set-up, and pass first piece inspection for 3-axis mill parts OR 2D lathe parts Able to create clear user friendly work instructions and create robust processes to machine parts Able to determine tool life to implement proactive tool changes and strategies to reduce perishable tooling usage Machinist Level 3: Must be able to program, set-up, and pass first piece inspection for 5-axis mills OR lathes with live tooling, y axis, and subspindle to process small batch production parts efficiently 'Qualifications' 'Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a precision manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of CNC programming, GD&T, blueprint reading, and mechanical principles. Familiarity with Fanuc controls, CAD/CAM software, and precision measurement tools. Ability to read technical drawings accurately and work with tight tolerances. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Commitment to safety standards and quality assurance.
