Job Description

C.E.D. Services Inc. is a leading provider of precision machined components and assemblies for diverse industries, including aerospace, automotive, and medical devices. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CNC Machinist / Setup Technician to join our dynamic team. As a CNC Machinist / Setup Technician, you will be responsible for operating and setting up CNC machines to produce high-quality parts in accordance with engineering specifications. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently, meeting both quality and production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills) to produce precision parts according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Adjust machine offsets and replace tooling as necessary to maintain part accuracy and quality.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues and improve processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Document production activities and maintain accurate records of machine settings and part inspections.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in CNC machining and setup operations.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machine programming, setup, and operation.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to quality and safety.
