Broadwind Industrial Solutions is searching for a CNC Milling Machinist to join our team in Sanford, NC. The CNC Milling Machinist will be responsible for operating a metal cutting saw and a 2-axis CNC milling machine. The ability to read blueprints is a must and experience running a CNC Haas machine is a big plus.

Key responsibilities:

Machine operation: CNC milling and metal cutting machinesPart fabrication:

Building, modifying, or repairing parts from blueprints, samples, or drawings.

Interpreting CAD files and translating designs into machine code.

Preventative maintenance:

Performing routine maintenance on all machinery to ensure proper function.

Quality inspection:

Measuring and examining parts to verify they meet precise specifications and tolerances.

Record keeping:

Documenting production data and noting any nonconformities.

Troubleshoot complex machining problemsRead and understand blueprints, engineering drawings, and machining print symbols. Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as tape measure and calipers. Keep a clean and orderly work area. Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.

Safely operate forklift equipment and overhead crane.

All other duties as assigned.
