CNC Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in programming, tooling, and quality control will ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities Set up CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC presses, ensuring proper calibration and tooling alignment. Program CNC equipment using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and G-code to produce complex parts according to detailed blueprints and technical specifications. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical manuals to ensure accurate machining processes. Operate auxiliary equipment such as press brake machines, stamping presses, fabrication tools, and material handling equipment like forklifts safely and efficiently. Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines to prevent downtime and troubleshoot issues promptly using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills. Measure finished parts with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify conformance to specifications. Maintain detailed records of production runs, machine settings, inspection reports, and quality checks for traceability and continuous improvement. Requirements Proven experience operating CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar equipment within a manufacturing or factory setting. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and CAM programming software; familiarity with Fanuc controls is preferred. Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T specifications, and use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools like SolidWorks for part verification. Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills in tooling setup, welding, fabrication processes, hand tools usage, and materials handling. Experience with quality control procedures utilizing precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers; understanding of manufacturing standards is essential. Familiarity with factory safety protocols including forklift operation certification; ability to work on an assembly line or fabrication floor efficiently. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine adjustments; excellent attention to detail is critical for ensuring product quality.
