CNC Tool Regrind Specialist

About the Role Bring precision tools back to peak performance. In this hands-on role, you will regrind, recondition, and manufacture cutting tools by following detailed work instructions and prints. You'll prepare CNC grinding equipment, complete high-accuracy tool grinding, verify results against specifications, and keep the shop running smoothly by returning tooling and reporting progress to the Shop Supervisor. You'll also help strengthen our culture by championing MSC values within the department and across the company. A Day in the Life Review work orders and prints, then set up the CNC grinder and related tooling.

Grind and finish cutting tools exactly to specification, guided by work instructions.

Inspect completed tools to print and confirm conformance.

Document work, communicate status daily to the Shop Supervisor, and return all tooling to its designated location.

Share your know-how—assist in training teammates as needed and jump into special projects as they arise. Core Responsibilities Grind tools per work instructions Inspect tools per print Set up machines prior to each work order Return tooling to proper locations after completing orders Train others as needed Provide daily updates to the Shop Supervisor Champion MSC culture and support unity of purpose Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED Comfortable with basic mathematics Skills You'll Use Multitasking in a busy production setting Blueprint reading and interpreting work orders Tool inspection against prints and specifications Coaching and training peers when needed Work Environment On the shop floor approximately 95% of the time Occasional overtime Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

The pay range is informed by comparable roles and local labor markets. Actual compensation reflects relevant experience, education, and internal pay equity. The Company may adjust the range in response to changing market conditions.
