CNC/Manual Machinist Position

Job Summary Industrial Engineering Company, an employee owned company, located in Columbus, NE seeks a full time worker to perform a CNC/Manual Machining. Industrial Engineering Company specializes in the design, manufacture, assembly, repair and integration of custom automated equipment. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of experience or equivalent schooling/training in Tool Room Machining. The CNC/Manual Machinist is responsible for the conversion of raw materials to a finished part using CNC/Manual Lathe, Mill or Grinder. Due to the complexity of parts, close tolerance, and the time required to manufacture a single part, the CNC/Manual Machinist has a little room for error. The CNC/Manual Machinist is responsible for all operations performed on the assigned work station, including work set-up, tooling, operation and completion of required documentation. Ability to read blue prints, operate a fork lift and overhead cranes is required. Good communication skills and the ability to follow directions is required. This is a full time position with a company with a history of long term employees. Work hours are 6:00 to 4:30, 4-5 days a week. Responsibilities Operate, set up, and maintain CNC lathes, mills, and manual machining tools to produce complex components with precision. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files to ensure accurate manufacturing. Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers and bore gauges Perform routine maintenance on machining equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with Haas Controls, Mazak Controls, Fanuc controls or similar systems. Strong manual machining skills with proficiency in hand tools, tooling setups and welding. Knowledge of CNC programming languages (G-code), Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine offsets.

Pay:

$25.00 - $32.00 per hour
