Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Assist Teacher/Center Specialist in providing effective and nurturing adult-child interactions, plan and implement learning experiences that ensure effective curriculum implementation and use of assessment, and promote children's progress across the standards described in the
Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework:
Ages birth to five and applicable state early learning and development standards, including for children with disabilities and dual language learners.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work in the classroom with children and assisting the Teacher with planning and activities Attend and assist in PreK Round-Up as assigned Obtain and document In-kind Work cooperatively with other employees, clients, and community members Recruit ECP volunteers Promote school readiness for children, families, and community members Participate in all required meetings and trainings Adhere to all CNCAP policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS A
high school diploma or GED is required, prefer an AA or BA in Early Childhood Valid driver's license Prefer experience with preschool-age children
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Problem-solving skills Communication skills Working with preschool-age children Excellent time-management and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to work with others
SCHEDULE
Monday-Thursday:
7 am - 5 pm
REPORTS TO
Teacher/Center Specialist
JOB STATUS
Full-Time, 40 hours per week
PAY:
$15.88 - $17.54/hour (depending on qualifications)
