Duties Help Incumbent applies broad experience and advanced technical knowledge on multiple, varying and complex assignments in support of the Nional Airspace System (NAS). Plans, coordines and performs work with a high degree of independence, keeping manager advised of significant problem areas. Demonstres a comprehensive knowledge of the NAS as an integral system to deal with unusual problems or unanticiped issues. Independently evalues the functional stus of systems and facilities. Reviews electrical schemics, installion designs and specificions, determines construction methods, manages project logistics, ensures compliance with safety procedures, and prepares risk mitigion plans. Work assignments are vital to the success of activities and projects th are critical to the safe and continual operion of the NAS. Serves as Contracting Officer Representive (COR) overseeing work activities to ensure contract requirements are met. May be required to coordine between the Project Engineer and the Contracting Officer or other stakeholders. Participes in Contractor Acceptance Inspections (CAIs) and Joint Acceptance Inspections (JAIs). Incumbent maintains technical competency on legacy systems as well as installs and integres new systems. Uses approprie technical documention such as FAA Orders for guidance. Exercise practical judgment and discretion in accomplishing work assignments in a safe manner. Possesses broad knowledge of FAA policies and procedures pertaining to the work environment such as (OSHA) Occupional Safety Health Administrion. Works with a high degree of independence, keeping the manager advised of significant problem areas. Demonstres comprehensive knowledge of the NAS as an integred system in order to deal with unusual problems or unanticiped issues. Coordines activities with stakeholders, provides project stus updes, coordines with Ste and Federal agencies, airport management, contractors, and utility companies. Provides training, mentoring and guidance to other FAA employees. Approximely 95% of the work is performed in travel stus th could be remote locions. Must be able to perform approprie trades and skills such as working with electrical power systems such as power panel and disconnect switches to plumbing, concrete work, and other construction reled duties. This type of work in all types of inclement weher from 120 degrees F to 40 below zero, in rain and snow. Duty assignments require incumbent to opere for construction tasks and make operional adjustments for compliance to a variety of instruments and construction equipment including but not limited to: wheeled loaders, trac-hoes, forklifts, grade-alls, and trencher. A CDL is required in order to opere the construction equipment. Requirements Help Conditions of employment US Citizenship is required.
