SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Coater Operator ensures scheduled orders are completed in accordance with specifications and procedures established by Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, R D, and Engineering, while keeping safety, quality and production at or above set standards in a team environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilize logbooks for issues that occur on shift
• Indirectly responsible for the safety of the crewmembers
• Perform quality and standard checks
• Participate in die changes as scheduled
• Complete appropriate data sheets as required
• Perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and safety inspections
• Follow "Red Tag" procedures if required
• Follow all safety rules when entering the manufacturing facility
• Responsible for maintaining clean and organized work areas
• Maintain inventories needed for production run
• Communicate and share knowledge with operators and coworkers
• Make suggestions on reducing costs, improving safety, and/or improving product or process
• Participate in S4 continuous improvement team meetings and projects Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High degree of manual dexterity
• Ability to work as a team member
• Ability to read length measurements, gauges and meters
• Knowledge of production schedules
• Basic math skills, computer skills, and data entry
• Ability to follow work instructions, safety rules, and specifications with great attention to detail
• May be required to obtain a tow-motor license

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Continuous positioning and lifting 25 - 60 pounds
• Ability to lift, bend, & stoop when required and stand for extended periods
• Occasional heavy lifting up to 100 pounds
