The Coater Operator ensures scheduled orders are completed in accordance with specifications and procedures established by Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, R D, and Engineering, while keeping safety, quality and production at or above set standards in a team environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.- Utilize logbooks for issues that occur on shift
- Indirectly responsible for the safety of the crewmembers
- Perform quality and standard checks
- Participate in die changes as scheduled
- Complete appropriate data sheets as required
- Perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Follow "Red Tag" procedures if required
- Follow all safety rules when entering the manufacturing facility
- Responsible for maintaining clean and organized work areas
- Maintain inventories needed for production run
- Communicate and share knowledge with operators and coworkers
- Make suggestions on reducing costs, improving safety, and/or improving product or process
- Participate in S4 continuous improvement team meetings and projects Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High degree of manual dexterity
- Ability to work as a team member
- Ability to read length measurements, gauges and meters
- Knowledge of production schedules
- Basic math skills, computer skills, and data entry
- Ability to follow work instructions, safety rules, and specifications with great attention to detail
- May be required to obtain a tow-motor license
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.- Continuous positioning and lifting 25 - 60 pounds
- Ability to lift, bend, & stoop when required and stand for extended periods
- Occasional heavy lifting up to 100 pounds
