Position Overview The Barista plays a key role in delivering exceptional drinks, warm hospitality, and smooth operations every shift. This is a cross-functional position rotating between espresso bar, POS, and food support as needed. You'll be responsible for maintaining drink quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and guest experience — while representing the Bite brand with energy and professionalism. What You'll Do Craft & Quality Prepare espresso, coffee, matcha, and specialty beverages to Bite standards Dial in espresso and maintain consistent extraction throughout the shift Follow recipes, presentation standards, and beverage procedures Minimize waste through proper prep, rotation, and portioning Speed & Service Deliver fast, accurate drinks in a high-volume environment Know the menu inside and out to educate guests and upsell naturally Support teammates during rushes to keep service flowing smoothly Hospitality & Brand Experience Be the first point of contact for guests with positive energy and great communication Learn regular guests' names, orders, and preferences Create a welcoming, memorable experience every shift Cleanliness & Organization Keep bar, equipment, and workstations clean and stocked at all times Follow food safety and health department standards Complete opening and closing duties accurately Operations & Teamwork Accurately process POS transactions and food orders Assist with training new team members when needed Contribute ideas to improve workflow, speed, and guest experience What We're Looking For Passion for coffee, beverages, and hospitality 1+ year specialty coffee experience preferred (or high-volume café experience) Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-energy environments Strong communication and teamwork skills Detail-oriented with pride in quality and cleanliness POS experience a plus Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs Why Work at Bite?
