Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Ridgecrest Conference Center's mission is impacting lives for Gods glory through purposeful hospitality. Ridgecrest offers everything needed for meaningful gatherings, including comfortable guest rooms, versatile meeting spaces, and both indoor and outdoor activities surrounded by stunning mountain views. Each year, our team is excited to serve over 50,000 guests. We are driven by our core values of serving one, making it better, cultivating relationships and creating purposeful experiences that matter. If you have a servant heart and a passion for hospitality, joining the Ridgecrest team could be your opportunity to make a difference. The Outlets team is a sub-department of Food Service. These areas are specialized and our most guest-facing staff positions. There are two Outlets on campus: Clouds Coffee Shop and Nibble Nook Ice Cream/Grill. This team works together to ensure that guests are served well throughout their stay! Here is how each Outlet operates:
Clouds Coffee Shop:
This is a traditional full-service coffee shop. Responsibilities include running the register (taking orders & payment), making hot/iced beverages, and making frozen beverages (smoothies & frappes). Clouds is also the home of our retail area, so they keep our branded apparel, stickers, and cups stocked.
Nibble Nook Ice Cream/Grill:
This is an additional restaurant on campus. Responsibilities include running the register, grilling food, operating a deep-fryer, and scooping ice cream. They also do their dishes at the end of each shift. This is a seasonal position expected to last through November 1, 2026 . Our Team Members must be available for nights and weekends, including holidays.
Essential Job Duties:
Maintain clean, organized, and sanitized workstations, dining room, and kitchen areas Follow Health and Safety Guidelines and Food Preparation Guidelines Receive, inspect, and put away food products and ensure products are in stock and in-date Responsible for cleaning, stacking and drying pots, pans, kettles, and utensils used by the culinary staff Complete other assignments as the Shift Leader and/or Supervisor may deem necessary Empty trash bins and ensure trash is properly disposed of according to regulations. Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure that dishes are delivered quickly to the front-of-house team. Operate the register, receive and process guest orders, communicate clearly with guests and team members, and perform accurate cash-handling responsibilities including balancing the register drawer.
Requirements:
No prior experience required; we provide training on all tasks and responsibilities. Reliable form of transportation Ability to work weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
Interact positively with other team members and guests Willing to learn and work in different areas of the Food Service team Must be flexible, dependable, and organized Able to perform duties in a manner reflecting good stewardship of time and resources Able to work in a high volume setting with the goals of accuracy, speed of service, and food safety
Physical Requirements:
Ability to carry or deliver items around various areas of our campus with varying degrees of steepness Must be physically able to lift weights up to 50 pounds Must have manual dexterity sufficient to use kitchen utensils and equipment Ability to stand for long periods, and be able to stoop, squat, and climb as necessary Walking and standing on hard floors for long periods of time Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, including hot conditions in the kitchen (due to ovens, stoves, and grills) and cold conditions in refrigeration units, freezers, or cold storage areas.
