Coffee & Smoothie Bar Barista

• This is NOT a seasonal/Summer position. We need an applicant who can work with us 1 year at least.
• The position available is part time. Please do not apply if the hours and schedules aren't something you are happy with.

  This position will have a 3 day per week schedule, Monday-Friday. They will also be put on a rotating Saturday schedule. Estimated 1 Saturday shift a Month, sometimes 2. Monday

6.25 hours Total for Mon-Fri and Sat = 24.25 to 26.25

• Saturday is optional. You can have as many Saturdays as you would like, or you can be put on rotation. Meaning that you will probably catch a Saturday shift once a month or so. It's basically just there if you want it.

• PAY & PERKS

• Estimated Base pay, with Tips = $14-16 per hour. Estimated Pay when added daily Perks = $16-18 per hour Detailed Pay Break down below. Base Pay
• Paid weekly rate of $10/hour, Plus tips, and Perks . Tips
• are averaging the employees an additional $4 to $6 per hour depending on whether it's a busy day or not. So, with tips most of our Barista's average $14 to $16 per hour starting. Perks
• Employees are given 2 free coffees or smoothies per shift.

Our 2 free drinks per shift perk is often used as a free lunch, or breakfast which has also been a very financially beneficial perk.

For example:

If someone enjoys gourmet coffee regularly or used it as a free breakfast or lunch, this perk will bring up their working dollar per hour circumstantially as well. Because they are no longer having to pay for these services. This adds an estimate $ 2 per hour. With your Base pay, Perks, and Tips; this will bring you to an estimated. $16

• 18 per hour starting out.
• For employees that stay with us longer than 1 year we also give raises & Christmas Bonuses.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffees and smoothies. Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills, be able to follow all closing/opening procedures, and maintain professionalism. Greet customers as they enter Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios) Prepare beverages following recipes Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards) Keep the bar area clean Maintain stock Comply with health and safety guidelines•
