Job Description:
Adams & Martin Group is seeking a Collections Litigation Paralegal to join a law firm in thew East Metro. This is a direct hire opportunity with an onsite, hybrid, or remote work model. The Paralegal's responsibilities include: Assist attorneys with all phases of collections and foreclosure litigation matters in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, notices, judgments, garnishments, and other legal documents related to collections, foreclosure, and creditor remedies. Prepare and electronically file court documents in state and federal courts. Manage foreclosure timelines and deadlines, including sheriff's sales, redemption periods, and post-judgment enforcement activities. Coordinate service of process, publication, and recording requirements. Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, title companies, sheriffs' offices, and other third parties. Maintain accurate case calendars, deadlines, and case management systems. Assist with commercial collection matters, including litigation support, discovery, and post-judgment remedies. Review loan documents, title materials, payment histories, and related records. Prepare payoff statements, reinstatement figures, and settlement documentation as directed by attorneys. Support attorneys in hearings, mediations, and trial preparation as needed. Track billing entries and assist with matter management and reporting. Maintain organized electronic and physical client files.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of paralegal experience in collections, foreclosure, creditor rights, or commercial litigation. Experience handling Minnesota and Wisconsin collections and foreclosure matters strongly preferred. Knowledge of state court filing procedures and electronic filing systems in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Strong understanding of foreclosure processes, garnishments, levies, and post-judgment remedies. Experience with commercial collections and creditor remedies preferred. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software. Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal experience preferred.
