In this role, you will be the key point of contact for customers needing collision repairs, providing accurate damage assessments and estimates to facilitate efficient repairs. Your expertise will help ensure customer satisfaction by delivering transparent, thorough, and professional estimates that streamline the repair process. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your automotive knowledge and customer service skills in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Duties Conduct comprehensive inspections of damaged vehicles to assess the scope of collision repairs, including auto body repair, mechanical issues, and structural damage. Prepare detailed auto estimating reports using industry-standard software, ensuring accuracy and transparency for both customers and technicians. Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair estimates, answer questions, and provide updates throughout the repair process. Collaborate with technicians, mechanics, and parts departments to coordinate repairs such as transmissions, suspension systems, brakes, alignments, tire services, shocks & struts, oil changes, air brake systems, diesel engine repairs, and other automotive diagnostics. Upsell additional services when appropriate by identifying potential vehicle maintenance needs like oil changes or tire replacements that enhance safety and vehicle longevity. Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of estimates, approvals, and repairs performed. Assist in managing workflow by prioritizing jobs based on damage severity and repair complexity to ensure timely completion. Qualifications Proven dealership or auto service management experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair procedures. Knowledge of automotive estimating software and auto estimating best practices. Hands-on mechanic experience with expertise in vehicle maintenance including transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, alignments, tire services, shocks & struts, oil changes, air brake systems, diesel engines, and automotive repair techniques. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients about repair processes and costs. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience in service writing and auto body repair estimation. Familiarity with upselling techniques to recommend additional services that meet customer needs while increasing shop revenue. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining detailed records of all estimates and repairs. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred; dealership experience is highly valued.
