Job Description

Overview Fine Touch Painting is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial and Residential Painter to join our team. This role involves preparing areas to be painted, applying caulking, putty, and paint by brush and roll. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with heights, able to lift ladders and 5 gallon paint pails, and be mindful of a clean work aarea. Basic hand tool knowledge is a plus. We work in active homes as well as remodels and new construction. We do both residential and industrial work. Applicants should possess a solid background in construction painting and or related trades such as carpentry. Any safety gear needed will be purchased by the company. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, airless sprayers, or other equipment Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine project specifications Utilize hand tools and power tools safely for surface preparation and finishing tasks Perform plastering, stucco application, drywall repair, and trim carpentry as needed for renovation projects Install fixtures, moldings, or trim carpentry elements to enhance interior or exterior surfaces Conduct restoration work on older structures by stripping old paint and applying new coatings Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes Maintain a clean work environment and properly dispose of waste materials Collaborate with project managers to estimate materials needed for projects (construction estimating) Qualifications Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting, or related fields such as renovation or restoration Knowledge of color theory and surface preparation techniques Ability to read or learn blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., caulking guns, putty knives) and power tools (e.g., airless sprayers) Familiarity with plastering, stucco application, masonry, concrete finishing, welding, drywall repair, fixture installation, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, and masonry work is preferred Basic math skills for measurements and estimations (construction estimating) Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites including proper handling of hazardous materials Handyman experience or general maintenance skills are advantageous Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments with minimal supervision This position is ideal for individuals passionate about construction trades who want to contribute to high-quality building projects while expanding their skills across multiple disciplines.
Pay:
$16.00 - $23.00 per hour
