$120,000$140,000+ per year, plus performance-based bonus

None required The Opportunity C Miller Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Director to lead construction operations, strengthen project execution, and help build scalable systems for continued growth. This is a key leadership role for a hands-on construction professional who can manage multiple projects, support field and project management teams, improve accountability, and work directly with ownership to drive quality, profitability, and operational consistency. The ideal candidate has strong experience in commercial renovation, tenant improvement, hospitality, or general construction and is comfortable leading teams, managing project financials, and solving complex field and subcontractor challenges. How You Will Make an Impact Lead day-to-day construction operations across active commercial, hospitality, and residential projects. Oversee project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. Partner with ownership to improve operational structure, accountability, communication, and project execution. Review project schedules, budgets, change orders, and profitability to support strong financial performance. Work closely with estimating, preconstruction, and sales teams to support bid strategy, project planning, and successful project handoffs. Monitor project progress and proactively resolve schedule, labor, material, vendor, and subcontractor issues. Support recruiting, mentoring, and development of construction team members as the company continues to grow. Strengthen safety practices and ensure compliance with OSHA standards, company policies, and applicable local regulations. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members. Help create repeatable processes that improve quality, communication, and project outcomes. Required Qualifications & Experience 10+ years of progressive construction experience, including leadership responsibility. Proven experience managing multiple commercial renovation, tenant improvement, hospitality, or general construction projects. Strong understanding of construction operations, field coordination, scheduling, budgeting, and project financials. Experience leading project managers, superintendents, field teams, subcontractors, and vendors. Ability to manage project margins, review budgets, control costs, and identify financial risks early. Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to work directly with ownership, clients, and internal teams. Ability to bring structure, accountability, and process improvement to a growing construction company. Working knowledge of OSHA standards, jobsite safety, and construction compliance expectations. Ability to travel as needed for project oversight. Preferred Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Experience with hospitality renovations, commercial renovations, sports amenities, hardscape installations, or similar project types. Experience helping a construction company scale operations, improve internal processes, or build stronger PM / field leadership structure. Background in both commercial and residential construction environments. Experience supporting estimating, bid review, project planning, or preconstruction strategy.
