Commercial Construction Estimator

Commercial Construction Estimator Lombardi Development Company is now accepting applications for a Commercial Construction Estimator for our Follansbee, West Virginia office. We are a commercial general contractor looking for qualified individuals who are eager to learn and grow professionally. This position is expected to have progression towards senior estimator and/or project manager. Salary based on experience. Benefit package available.

Job duties would include:

Assisting other Estimators in calculating project values and bid submissions. Preparing bid packages and presentations for business partners. Communicating with superintendents, subcontractors, architects, and owners. Assisting with bid proposals for projects by communicating with subcontractors and preparing spreadsheets of proposals. Attending pre-bid meetings and bid submittal meetings to evaluate perspective jobs. Reviewing blueprints and specifications and performing take-offs and other calculations. Preparing for and leading hand-off meetings with project managers and project coordinators for awarded projects.

Qualifications:

Must have experience with Microsoft programs such as Excel. Must have good communication skills and professionalism. Must be proficient with computers, detail-oriented, organized, and constantly seeking growth and new knowledge. Must be self-motivated and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the commercial construction industry is a plus. Experience with OnScreen Takeoff, Procore, PreconSuite and Sage is a plus.
