Overview Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off mechanisms Deliver goods to various locations while maintaining timely schedules and proper documentation Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any issues promptly Manage route driving responsibilities including navigation, traffic management, and adherence to delivery timelines Handle specialized cargo such as flatbed loads - legal and oversize requiring specific handling procedures Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with regulatory standards Work in the field or shop when not driving Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL A license and a clean driving record Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and specialized equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks Knowledge of freight handling procedures including load & unload operations for various cargo types Familiarity with route planning, route driving best practices, and GPS navigation tools Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving and cargo security Excellent communication skills for coordinating deliveries and reporting issues effectively Embark on a rewarding career where your driving expertise makes a real impact!
