Commercial Drivers License Class A Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and various specialized trucks to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in handling different trailer types, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks with manual and automatic transmissions, ensuring compliance with all federal and state transportation regulations. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring cargo integrity and safety. Drive a variety of truck types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks across assigned routes. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle condition, report any issues promptly, and maintain detailed logs of driving hours and cargo documentation. Deliver freight accurately and on time to multiple destinations while adhering to route schedules and traffic laws. Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit; unload freight at delivery points efficiently and safely. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any logistical issues promptly. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL Class A license; familiarity with manual transmission operation is beneficial. Strong knowledge of trucking regulations, safety procedures, and best practices for load securement. Experience driving 53' enclosed is preferred. Excellent route planning skills with a focus on timely deliveries while maintaining safety standards. Physical stamina for long hours on the road; capable of performing vehicle inspections and cargo handling tasks.
