Overview Join the Phillip McDonald Plumbing, Inc team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver and take charge of delivering essential materials and equipment with energy and precision! This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of trucks—including front loader, rear loader, dump trucks, flatbeds, grease pump-truck, and septic pump-truck—while ensuring timely and safe hauls. Duties Safely operate a range of commercial trucks, including manual transmission vehicles, to transport/haul material to designated locations. Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment such as front loaders, rear loaders, skid steer, or flatbeds. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed during loading, unloading, or equipment maintenance. Maintain accurate delivery logs, load sheets, and delivery documentation to ensure proper recordkeeping. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues promptly. Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure a secure working environment. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with necessary endorsements for operating different truck types. Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with delivery routes involving heavy lifting and manual transmissions. Mechanical knowledge of trucks such as dump trucks, flatbeds, tractor-trailers, front loaders, rear loaders, and skid steers. Experience in load & unload procedures using various equipment safely and efficiently. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged periods of driving or standing. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and cargo handling. Excellent communication skills to coordinate deliveries and maintain safety standards.
