Job Summary:

A CDL driver , plays a crucial role in the operations of a gravel mining company. They are responsible for transporting materials such as dirt, gravel, sand, or debris from one location to another using large trucks. Their primary duty is to ensure safe and efficient transportation while adhering to set deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving and Operation:

Safely operate a dump truck or other heavy-duty vehicle to transport gravel and other materials. Load and unload cargo at job sites. Inspect the truck daily to ensure it is mechanically sound and safe for operation.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance checks on the truck, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and brakes. Report any mechanical issues promptly to the maintenance team.

Paperwork and Documentation:

Complete necessary paperwork related to delivery, including bills of lading and delivery receipts. Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and fuel consumption.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. Use proper safety equipment, such as seat belts and reflective vests. Follow loading and unloading procedures to prevent accidents.

Communication:

Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members. Report any delays, incidents, or issues during transportation promptly.

Qualifications:

Valid CDL A with appropriate endorsements. Clean driving record. Ability to operate heavy-duty vehicles safely. Physical stamina to load and unload materials. Strong communication skills. Diligence and a commitment to safety. Applicants must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and have professional references available. Salary is negotiable based on experience.

Job Type:

Full-time•Day shift, Monday to Friday, Saturday and Overtime as needed.
