In this position, you will operate a variety of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, to deliver freight safely and on time. Your expertise in commercial driving will ensure seamless load and unload processes while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers and other heavy-duty trucks across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and proper handling Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, focusing on manual transmission operation, brake systems, tires, lights, and safety equipment Manage delivery schedules efficiently, optimizing route driving to meet delivery deadlines while minimizing fuel consumption Secure freight properly on flatbeds or refrigerated trailers to prevent shifting or damage during transit Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or vehicle issues Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with regulatory standards Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL license; familiarity with manual transmission preferred Expertise operating various truck types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures for load & unload operations across different cargo types Ability to drive safely over long distances and through diverse route conditions while maintaining focus and professionalism Skilled in using forklifts for loading/unloading when necessary; certification is a plus Excellent understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving and vehicle maintenance Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and ensuring smooth delivery operations Embark on a fulfilling career where your driving expertise fuels our success!
