Commercial Electrician

Duties Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, panels, and systems in commercial environments following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute precise electrical installations. Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools to diagnose faults accurately. Work on low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed at all times. Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate electrical work with framing carpentry and other trades during renovation or new build projects. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete installations and repairs on time. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure ongoing safety and compliance with local codes and regulations. Requirements Proven experience as a commercial electrician with a strong background in industrial electrician tasks preferred. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and schematics reading for complex control systems. Hands-on experience working on construction sites, including renovation projects involving framing carpentry and handyman skills. Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics accurately. Familiarity with NEC standards, low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and safety procedures. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment. Strong understanding of electrical experience related to construction or renovation environments. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently under pressure. Valid electrician license or certification as required by local regulations; additional certifications in low voltage or industrial systems are a plus.
