Commercial Fence Estimator Growing Fence Company - DFW, Texas (Justin area) Full-Time In-Office Role We are a growing fence company based in Justin, Texas, looking for an experienced Commercial Fence Estimator to join our team on-site. This role is focused on preparing accurate, competitive bids for commercial fencing projects ranging from small ($80K-$500K) to medium ($500K-$1.1M) and large ($1.1M+). You will play a critical part in our continued growth by delivering precise estimates and helping us win profitable commercial fence work across the DFW region. Key Responsibilities Review construction plans, blueprints, specifications, and site conditions to perform accurate quantity takeoffs for commercial fencing, gates, concrete footings, and related scope. Prepare complete, professional cost estimates for commercial fence projects, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead. Manage a steady volume of bids (starting at 2-3 per day) while maintaining speed and accuracy. Collaborate daily with operations and project management teams to ensure estimates align with real-world fence installation and execution. Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities, building relationships with general contractors and owners, and helping position the company for new commercial fence projects. Conduct occasional site visits for field measurements and verification. Track bid outcomes, win rates, and lessons learned to continuously improve our estimating process. Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of professional estimating experience in construction, with a strong focus on fencing preferred . Proven experience with bidding and takeoff software (please specify the programs you use). Strong ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints, and specifications without training — this is non-negotiable. Solid understanding of the construction process (residential or commercial). Concrete estimating experience is strongly preferred; utility estimating is a plus. Background working for a fence contractor, home builder, general contractor (GC), or similar trade is highly desired. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Must be based in the DFW area and able to work full-time in-office in Justin, Texas.

Compensation Base salary range:

$65,000 - $80,000 (depending on experience). Potential yearly performance bonus of 5%-15% of base salary, typically paid around Christmas. Paid Time Off (PTO) is offered.
