Commercial Glass Shop Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Shop Manager to serve as the operational leader of our fabrication facility. If you have a deep understanding of commercial aluminum systems and know how to run a high-performing, safety-first shop, we want you on our leadership team.

The Role:

As the Shop Manager reporting directly to the COO, you will bridge the gap between strategic vision and field execution. You will ensure that architectural aluminum components are cut, machined, assembled, and staged accurately and on schedule to support our field crews and keep our overall project timelines on track.

What You Will Do:

Lead Production:

Oversee all daily shop operations and manage the production schedule for commercial storefronts and curtain walls.

Team Leadership:

Manage, train, and mentor a team of shop fabricators, ensuring high productivity and strict quality control standards are met.

Safety First:

Enforce strict OSHA safety regulations within the shop environment, ensuring proper use of PPE, machinery safeguards, and safe forklift operation.

Inventory & Procurement:

Manage inventory control for raw aluminum extrusions, hardware, and shop supplies, and coordinate orders with the purchasing department.

Equipment Management:

Ensure the regular maintenance and calibration of all shop machinery.

Logistics & Coordination:

Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Foremen, and Superintendents to stage and load materials onto delivery trucks safely and on time. What We Are Looking For (Qualifications): 5+ years of hands-on experience in architectural glass and metal fabrication. 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or foreman role. Expert ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints, shop drawings, and cut sheets. Extensive working knowledge of aluminum framing systems (specifically Kawneer, Tubelite, and Manko) and standard glass handling procedures. Valid Forklift Operator Certification. $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
