Commercial Night Janitor- Government Contract

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Commercial Night Janitor to support our government contract cleaning services. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of commercial facilities during overnight hours. The ideal candidate will have experience in janitorial and custodial work, with a focus on floor care and industrial cleaning. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in facilities maintenance or porter experience to contribute to a secure and professional environment. Pay is flat rate, dependent upon experience, will discuss more detail in the interview. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of commercial and government facilities, including offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas during night shifts Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to ensure floors are spotless and well-maintained Use industrial cleaning equipment and supplies to sanitize surfaces and maintain high standards of cleanliness Assist with custodial tasks including trash removal, restocking supplies, and detailed cleaning as needed Conduct routine maintenance tasks to ensure facility safety and cleanliness standards are met Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment during night hours Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly Skills Proven experience in commercial cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies Ability to perform detailed cleaning tasks efficiently and thoroughly Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Prior experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is advantageous Good understanding of safety procedures related to custodial work in government or commercial settings This position is essential for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and professionalism of our client facilities during overnight hours.
