Full-Time Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic•Miles City, MT Busy heavy duty diesel repair shop in Miles City, MT is hiring a skilled mechanic with at least 2 years of previous mechanic experience for steady shop work plus service calls on trucks, heavy equipment, and diesel machinery. Position Details:

Full-time (40+ hours/week, Monday-Friday base schedule, plus service calls•road/breakdown repairs, after-hours, evenings, nights, and weekends when needed)

Pay:

$20•30 per hour (base), depending on experience and qualifications (Top of range for candidates with Class A CDL•major plus! Significant overtime pay available, including 2x rate (double time) on after-hours service calls to maximize your earnings)

Location:

Miles City, MT (shop-based with occasional service calls•local preferred)

Main Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, electrical systems, and other heavy duty components Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and major overhauls Handle service calls for on-site/roadside repairs (including after-hours) as part of the role Use diagnostic tools and maintain accurate repair records Work safely and efficiently in shop and field settings Requirements (All Required): At least 2 years of previous mechanic experience (diesel/heavy equipment preferred but not required) Must provide your own basic set of tools (required•shop supplies specialty/large equipment only) Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Solid mechanical skills, problem-solving ability, and strong work ethic
