Job Information Location:

Central Pennsylvania plants: Middletown - Harrisburg - Carlisle Job Summary The Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing concrete equipment to keep operations running safely and efficiently. This role performs diagnostics, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repairs on mobile and plant equipment including ready mix trucks, dump trucks, loaders, haul trucks, dozers, skid steers, and other heavy machinery. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical components. Perform preventive maintenance and inspection tasks on mobile and heavy equipment. Service quarry equipment and support daily operations. Identify mechanical failures and recommend repairs. Perform welding and fabrication when required. Maintain accurate service and repair documentation. Work in cooperation with operators, mechanics, and supervisors to minimize downtime. Follow safety and MSHA regulations at all times. Qualifications & Requirements Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 3 years of mining or heavy equipment experience preferred. Certifications (preferred) PA Inspection License CDL Class A or B A/C Certification Skills & Abilities Ability to weld, fabricate, and repair quarry equipment. Self-motivated and committed to continuous improvement. Able to clearly communicate and follow instructions. Must provide your own toolbox/tools Ability to work overtime or flexible hours as needed. May be on call on occasion depending on business needs and season Physical Requirements Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Standing, climbing, kneeling, bending, and working in outdoor conditions. Ability to work in quarry, plant, and shop environments. Safety & Compliance All employees must follow Byler safety standards and MSHA requirements at all times. The Mobile Equipment Mechanic plays an important role in maintaining a safe workplace. Compensation Compensation is determined based on experience and past work history.

Reimbursements:

Pay:

$27.31 - $34.89 per hour
