Commissary Clerk

We are currently seeking a Commissary Clerk who has a passion for providing the highest quality care in an institutional, secure setting. The Commissary Clerk is responsible for assisting in the operation of the facility commissary (a retail store which provides sundry items to inmates/residents) including, but not limited to inventory, sales and ordering stock. Verifying in-coming shipments against receiving documents: note and report any discrepancies or damages. Endure verbal and mental abuse when confronted with the hostile views and opinions of inmates/residents and others encountered in an antagonistic environment. Assist in the effective management of facility/department resources. Provide the proper repair and/or exchange of items sold. Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all goods on a daily, weekly and/or monthly basis to monitor minimum and maximum levels. Read and comprehend correspondence, policies, regulations, procedures, reports, directions for forms completion and other simple or moderately complex directions.

Qualifications:

High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent. Experience in retail preferred. A valid driver's license is preferred, unless required by contract or applicable statute.

Minimum Age Requirement:
