Community Education Program Assistant Department:
Medicine | Family Medicine The wellness coordinator will be charged with managing the day-to-day communications, classes, and oversight for the Center for Integrative Health community classes. Daily management of community classes will include recruiting and working with class participants, ensuring instructors are supported for classes, overseeing space utilization, and advertising classes in a timely manner. Responsible for the financial performance of the community class programming working in collaboration with the CIH Business Operations Manager to achieve positive financial results. Must be comfortable with email and phone communications and learning about different class offerings to explain to potential participants. Will maintain the appearance and order of the community class prop room and classroom studio space. This position will require afternoon and evening hours, with possible weekend times in the future.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Allied Medicine, Health Education, Public Health or related field. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred. Required Qualifications Bachelor Degree, or equivalent combination or education and experience. Experience in planning and administration preferably in an academic or medical setting. Demonstrate proficiencies in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent customer service skills and ability to organize and prioritize duties. High levels of attention to detail and critical thinking are required. Experience with presentation and confident public speaking skills. General background knowledge in app development and troubleshooting technology is preferred. Willingness to learn new skills and work independently with minimal supervision, and possess a genuine interest in mindfulness, meditation, yoga, and general well-being strategies for a variety of populations.
