Job Summary The Community Exploration Specialist is a grant funded position designed to help adults with autism discover interests and engage in their communities through evidence-based practices. The role involves connecting individuals to activities like volunteering, social events, recreation, and travel training while matching opportunities to personal needs, promoting inclusion, building community connections, advocating for clients, and supporting clients with decision-making. Essential Functions Collaborates with clients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement person- centered plans that reflect individual interests, needs, and goals Identifies, plans, and facilitates engagement in meaningful community opportunities such as recreation, volunteering, life skills activities, and events that promote inclusion and self-advocacy Identifies local resources and opportunities aligned with client goals, and support clients in budgeting for and accessing these activities, including outside of standard program hours with the support of guardians and residential support Independently manages a caseload by scheduling and coordinating individualized community exploration activities Provides one-on-one support both in the center and community settings, using personal or public transportation as needed

Requirements:
