Job Description

About the Community Shadow Mountain Apartments is a 96-unit residential community located in La Verne, CA. We are seeking a driven and experienced Community Manager to lead daily operations, elevate resident experience, and drive leasing and financial performance. Position Overview The Community Manager is responsible for the overall success of the property, including team leadership, leasing performance, financial management, and resident satisfaction. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance operations, customer service, and asset performance while maintaining compliance with Fair Housing and company standards. Key ResponsibilitiesProperty Operations & Leadership Oversee daily operations of a 96-unit community Lead, train, and develop onsite staff Manage scheduling, payroll approvals, and team performance Ensure compliance with company policies and Fair Housing laws Leasing & Marketing Drive occupancy through leasing strategies and outreach Monitor market trends and competitor pricing Support leasing team to maximize traffic, tours, and conversions Review and approve applications per company guidelines Resident Experience Provide excellent customer service and resolve concerns promptly Promote resident retention through renewals and engagement Coordinate community communication and events Financial Performance Manage rent collections, delinquencies, and deposits Maintain accurate financial records and reporting Assist with budget adherence and expense control Initiate and oversee eviction processes when necessary Maintenance & Vendor Coordination Partner with maintenance team to ensure timely service requests Conduct regular property inspections Oversee vendor performance and project completion Qualifications 3-5 years of multifamily property management experience Strong leadership and team management skills Proven leasing and occupancy management success Experience with budgeting, collections, and reporting Excellent communication and organizational skills Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and property management systems (AppFolio preferred) Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to walk the property, including stairs Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed Must pass background and screening requirements Schedule Monday
  • Friday, 9:00 AM
  • 6:00 PM Weekend and after-hours availability as needed Physical requirements
  • Must be able to perform the physical functions of the position, which may include, but are not limited to: ability to walk property, including 4 flights of stairs, to complete physical inspections, deliver resident communications, and show apartments.
Must be able to effectively communicate with residents, staff, supervisors, vendors, etc. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. to facilitate lifting of supplies as needed. Experience and Education

  • Submit to and pass criminal and credit background checks.
Must have a reliable vehicle to perform various management tasks and errands. Must have proof of valid driver's license as well as state required vehicle insurance for same.
Pay:
$27.00
