June through mid August (flexible based on academic schedule) About the Role Meals on Wheels of Takoma Park/Silver Spring is seeking a paid summer intern to support outreach and food access efforts. This role focuses on expanding community impact through food recovery, partnerships, and engagement. What You'll Do Support gleaning efforts and food recovery from partners Assist with outreach events and community engagement Help track partnerships and food donations Assist with delivery routes and ride alongs What You'll Gain Experience in food systems and food access work Exposure to nonprofit partnerships and outreach Hands-on involvement in community engagement efforts A couple important things You will need access to a reliable car You should be comfortable being on your feet and moving throughout your shift Being on time and consistent matters for this role Who Should Apply Students interested in communications, sustainability, nonprofit management, or food systems.
