Founded in 1866, The Floating Hospital (TFH) is one of the last remaining charity hospitals in New York City. Our commitment is the same as it was 160 years ago: unrestricted healthcare to all who walk through our doors, regardless of identity, insurance status, or the ability to pay. We welcome individuals of all ages, from infants, school-age children (5+), youth and adults. The Floating Hospital is a Federally Qualified Health Center and the largest provider to homeless families living in family shelters and domestic violence safe houses throughout all five boroughs. Organize, distribute, and replenish outreach materials to local businesses. Represent TFH at local schools PTA, NYCHA, residents' and PSA9 meetings etc., Meet Quarterly with LIC Elected Official Outreach Liaison(s) Represent at local Community Board meetings Conduct surveys and tabulate results for departmental reporting. Create monthly outreaching activity reports. Assist with TFH special and community events - Candy Cane Lane/Women Wellness etc., Assist with informational table set-up and break down at outreach events. Assist with general administration, special projects, and other assigned tasks at the discretion of the Director of Community Outreach and the Senior Management Team.
Requirements:
College graduate; or 2+ years working in outreach, customer service, or sales - medical/healthcare industry experience a plus; proficiency with Microsoft office applications.
Essential skills:
bilingual (Spanish/English); highly motivated; strong presenter/speaker; organized; team player; multi-tasker; social media aptitude. Need to be able to work on Weekends.
