Community Support Companion for Neurodivergent Teen (Very Part-Time/Flexible) PCA

Neurodivergent applicants are encouraged to apply! Must be supportive of the LGBTQ+ community. Community Support Companion for Neurodivergent Teen (17 years old). Very Part-Time/Flexible. Looking for a kind, patient, and supportive individual to spend time with my teenage son in the community approximately once per week for 2-4 hours (weekdays only). This is intended to be a very part-time, flexible side position rather than a traditional part-time or full-time job. Must have a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and ability to provide transportation for community outings and activities. This role is focused on companionship, community engagement, emotional support, and helping build confidence and independence in everyday activities in a relaxed, low-pressure environment.

Typical outings may include:

Coffee shops Walks Stores or browsing Community activities/interests Casual conversation and companionship Some days may be home-based depending on weather, energy level, or preference, including: Cooking together Organizing bedroom or personal spaces Working on routines/goals Hanging out and engaging in shared interests Looking for someone who: Is calm, patient, emotionally supportive, and dependable Understands or appreciates neurodivergent communication styles Enjoys genuine connection over strict structure Can provide encouragement without being overly demanding or authoritative

Pay:

$20/hour Gas reimbursement provided for community outings : Potential for occasional additional outings/hours in the future if it feels like a good fit Position is funded through CFSS services with MRCI as the fiscal support agency.
